Independently performs a full range of university-wide (on and off-campus responsibilities) tasks, using command line tools and custom scripts to test, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain MSUnet; typical work involves responding to incidents reported through the ticketing system on the campus backbone, including layer 2 and layer 3 troubleshooting, and application performance troubleshooting; the candidate is expected to provide direct support to other IT Services teams regarding their services on the network; in addition to incident response, service requests are received through the ticketing system for fulfillment; typical requests include, but are not limited to DNS record updates, DHCP requests, network provisioning, and layer 2 configuration tasks; team members are expected to maintain and increase their technical knowledge through coursework, workshops, independent study and seminars; performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements;
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business or related information technology field, with coursework in an information technology specialization related to the area of employment; one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in a large enterprise network; experience supporting layer 2 network domains using Juniper networking equipment; experience with Juniper VRFs; experience working with ticket tracking systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications;
Experience with BGP and OSPF troubleshooting; knowledge of Cisco, HP, and Extreme networking solutions; familiarity with reading network maps and using network monitoring tools; knowledge of python or other scripting languages; experience with IPAM/DDI solutions and hostmaster duties; proven track record of excellent customer communication and service; strong desire to expand skills in response to business needs and new technologies; ability to work alone or with others to solve complex problems in a professional and timely manner; familiarity with ITIL fundamentals; experience with change management and documentation; ability to document proposed solutions, problems, and exiHow to Apply

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
