Operations Research Analyst

Work with financial and IT professionals to document system requirements; develop reporting and planning solutions using MS Excel and Oracle Hyperion Solution applications; formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods using a computer to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making or other managerial functions; perform quality assurance on newly developed system modules and assist on providing system maintenance to client IT solutions; utilize Hyperion Essbase & Planning and apply OLAP and multidimensional concepts for developing planning, budgeting and forecasting solutions; develop Hyperion Financial Reports and utilize Excel macros and Smart View for reporting; develop Enterprise Performance Management applications to enable dimension sharing across applications; use Oracle Data Integrator to perform Extract Transform Load (ETL) operations and data integration; develop drill-back capability to Source systems by integrating Oracle EBS and PeopleSoft Financial and HR systems with Hyperion utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning Integrator and Financial Data Quality Management; create Star Schema utilizing Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL and develop Essbase Studio cubes for drill-through solutions to detailed ledger and sub-ledger data; use MaxL and MDX to administer Analytic Services system and load rules for automation. Implement security matrix for the applications developed; act as liaison with clients Financial Planning and Analysis division, Senior Managers, Software Engineers and Infrastructure team during the design, implementation and delivery phases; address planning and reporting needs across diverse industries which includes Video Games, Event Management, Sports Equipment, Telecom, Data Centers, Medical Devices, Packaging, Social Networking, Pool Equipment and IT Staffing & Services.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Masters degree in Business Administration, Operations Research or Management Science or foreign equivalent plus coursework or internship to include working with financial and IT professionals to document and analyze system requirements to address planning and reporting needs across diverse industries; developing Oracle Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning and MS Excel solutions for planning, budgeting and forecasting, applying understanding of OLAP and multidimensional concepts; applying Accounting concepts and interpreting Financial statements and understanding the relationship between the different statements; computer programming skills with statistical techniques; formulating and applying mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods using software to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making or other managerial functions; architecting solutions and coordinating work across different functional areas; applying web based reporting best practices; extracting and transforming data from different sources for use by target applications to meet customer needs; applying analytical skills to resolve customer problems and providing solutions to optimize existing processes; communicating effectively with financial planning and reporting managers; working with engineers and infrastructure team during the design, implementation and delivery phases.
