ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist Materials Manager with overall operation of Hays Distribution Center.
Operate the BaaN/SAP System to maximum reporting requirements.
Prepares standard reports, summarizes results, and maintains records; distributes reports to appropriate personnel.
Scheduling, planning and utilizing reports such as Customer On-Time performance and Inventory Control.
Generate scrap shipping documentation and contact carriers for scrap pick up.
Files freight claims with appropriate carriers as necessary.
Generate Replenishment orders
Prepares and generate UPS shipments.
Coordinate shipping pallet purchasing and inventory control,
Serve as backup for Traffic Coordinator and Traffic Clerk.
Maintains a safe working environment, resolving all unsafe acts or conditions to prescribed safety procedures. Implements corrective actions. Ensures that personnel adhere to applicable local, state, and federal ordinances regarding material storage, usage, and disposal.

Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbal and written
Must have computer skills and be able to do daily computer entry

Ability to acquire a thorough knowledge of procedures, policies and operations pertaining to transportation and inventory control.
Ability to organize and prioritize job responsibilities, and to perform complex tasks efficiently and accurately.
Assist in overall Shipping and Receiving
Attainment of Customer On-Time Delivery goals
Coordinate Non-Inventory Purchase Order System
## Mathematical Skills: College Entry level mathematical skills
Reasoning Ability : Ability to problem solve and perform root cause analysis
Computer Skills : Basic Computer knowledge. Microsoft Office
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: DOT Certification
Other Skills and Abilities: Errors affect customer deliveries with the possibility of monetary consequences. Errors affect customer satisfaction and customer perception of quality and service. Errors should be kept at the lowest possible limits with the goal of elimination through effective communication, response and process improvements. Errors affect shipping costs. Undetected errors can affect the company's overall reputation.
## Other Qualifications
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and deal regularly with manufacturing associates and supervisors related to daily shipping and receiving duties.
First Shift hours may vary as required by business needs.
Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.
Environmental conditions, such as heat and cold, will vary greatly in dock and warehouse areas
Education and/or
Experience:
Required: Associate degree in an appropriate business discipline or 3 years of job experience in a closely related industrial environment with equivalent combination of education and.r directly related job experience.
Preferred: College degree in appropriate discipline with 3 years shipping/receiving experience required.
