We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Steakhouse Cook III. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
Full Time - Swing Shift / Wednesday - Sunday
Your daily responsibilities include:
Consistently prepares dinner or hor d'oeuvres to standards established by the Executive Chef.
Ensures that work area is kept clean and orderly.
Trains new Steakhouse's cooks in assigned kitchen.
Must be able to stand a full shift.
Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow cast members.
Any and all duties as assigned by your Supervisor or a member of management.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Knowledge and ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment. Must be 18 years of age or older.
Minimum of three years experience in full service restaurant preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other cast members of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Apprentice for Certification preferred.
Ability to identify all products used in kitchen operation. Ability to recognize spoiled or questionable products. Ability to read, comprehend and execute recipes. Ability to successfully complete Cook III tests.
While performing the duties of this Job, the cast member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and taste or smell. The cast member is frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch, and talk or hear. The cast member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this Job, the cast member is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
