Meeting Planner - part time

Pal-tech is seeking a Meeting Planner that can work on a part time basis to support HHS Office of Head Start Logistics. This can be a work from home (remote) position that includes some travel nationwide with reimbursable expenses associated with travel.

The Meeting Planner will provide onsite monitoring of 7 meetings (1 to 2 day in duration) per year. The meeting location are across the country.

Responsibilities include:
. approx 4 Tribal consultations and 3-6 other meetings around the country. Travel involved for 2-6 days depending on meeting and site. Attendees range from 50 - 500.
online registration of attendees and preparation of meeting materials, including handouts, name badges
hiring of AV staff to work onsite and ensuring their performance of duties
contracting with hotels for meeting space and guest rooms
in some cases, arranging travel of speakers
processing invoices and ensuring timely payments to vendors and others
working closely with other meeting planners, note takers, and Federal staff

Minimal Requirements:

Desired - Certified Meeting Planner or certified government meeting planner
5 to 7 years of experience working for government agencies
Must be able to handle rapidly changing of requirements, client responsiveness to their needs.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented with excellent follow up and tracking skills.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
