Verity Recruiting has once again joined hands with an established client as they are seeking a qualified Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting to join their growing team. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance this role is responsible for handling the companies Integrity & Controls, External and Internal Reporting and Corporate Accounting.
Ideal candidate will possess the following
Qualifications:
CPA or MBA is preferable with thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procesures
Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive finance / accounting experience with a balance of public and private work
Solid financial reporting background with working knowledge of consolidation and management reporting systems; as well as, process flows of ERP systems
Leadership experience in organizing, planning and excuting projects from conceptualization through implementation across multiple internal and external reporting lines
Essential Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Supervision of a staff of accounting professionals and serve in an advisor capacitiy to other functions for significant financial reporting issues
Support month-end, year-end close and planning process
Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data
Maintain effective process documentation and perform internal control review
Oversee consolidation for the companies financial reporting requirements
Coordinate dule diligence and purchase price accounting for acquisitions/divestures
Safegaurd assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits and controls
Seeking an individual who demonstrates an entrepreneurial managment skill set who is commited and engaged through high level of work ethic. Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility and adaptability whil establishing trust through relationship building with staff and executives.
