Responsibilities:
The Bridgestone Leadership Development Internship Program provides you exposure to our core business unit, Retail Operations. Our ten week internship is paid ($15 an hour) and will begin in June of 2015. You will have the opportunity to learn operations management, marketing, financial analysis, product knowledge, leadership development and our overall business strategy.
Bridgestone's internship program consists of a combination of group training and individual development.
The first week will begin with our intern orientation in the Chicago, IL area. You will spend orientation with the entire United States internship class to allow collaboration and teambuilding. We cover all travel expenses and of course you will be paid for your classroom time while you're there.
During weeks 2 - 10, your experience will take place at one of our 2,200
retail locations across the United States. During this time you will job shadow our store manager and have the opportunity to lead one of the most important projects of the summer: Your store's Grass Roots Sales Event.
Your hands on training, leadership, sales experience, and exposure to customer analytics, will enable you to thoroughly prepare for and execute your final project.
Upon completion of the internship, top intern participnts will be presented with full-time offers for the Bridgestone Leadership Development Program (BLDP) and will be invited to our corporate office in Nashville, Tennessee, to meet our executive team and to learn more about our innovative and dynamic culture. Those who accept the offer to join the Bridgestone Leadership Program will have a full-time job lined up on graduation.
Since our stores are open evenings and weekends, your daily schedule may vary but any given week you will work no more than a total of 40 hours.
Qualifications:
Must be graduating between December 2015 and December 2016 with a Bachelors Degree.
Demonstrated success in retail sales management is a plus.
Valid driver's license required.
Pre-employment drug test/physical/background check will help assure we build teams of people who can best work with others and serve the needs of our customers.
