Financial Audit Support Analyst

Key Role:
Provide financial management expertise with an Army resource management office. Maintain responsibility for the audit readiness planning and execution and day-to-day processing of financial transactions using General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Defense Travel System (DTS), and other applicable financial management systems in accordance with Army financial management regulations and fiscal law. Assist with developing the plan and scope of the audit engagement and identify, document, and perform tests against internal controls. Test the compliance against published policies and procedures and review internal control systems to determine their reliability and effectiveness. Prepare reports of findings and recommendations for corrective action through improvements to business practices, processes, and control procedures. Assist with the design and facilitation of compliance-related training sessions. This position is located in Columbia, SC.
Basic
Qualifications:
-Experience with accounting or finance management
-Experience in working with ERP software and SAP solutions, including funds management, financial and cost management, project systems, and procurement
-Knowledge of the use and application of internal controls, including control environment, risk assessment, control activities, or monitoring
-Knowledge of federal financial management, federal acquisition regulations, or statement of budgetary resources and GFEBS
-Ability to design and execute data collection activities, perform a broad set of analyses to identify business objectives and resources, and evaluate associated risks
-Ability to understand financial requirements and determine the appropriate use of the government financial system to enter and analyze transactions and transactional data
-Ability to analyze and communicate complex financial requirements
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree

Qualifications:
-Experience with accounting or finance departments in the US Army or DoD
-Experience with an internal audit department performing financial audits
-Experience with CDFM, CGFM, internal controls, audit readiness and preparedness, Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAS, GAAP, FAR, or DFAR
-Experience in working with legacy Army systems, including DTS, STANFINS, SOMARDS, RMT, RM Online, SARRS, PBUSE, SAMS, SAAS, and ULLS
-Knowledge of Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS)
-Knowledge of business intelligence tools and SAP business intelligence and business objects
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent client management skills
-BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field
