Seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to fill Managerial role, reporting directly to the General Manager!In this exciting role, you will . Manage the quality assurance function to assure quality production in accord with customer specifications. Excellence customer service experience Ensure that all practices, procedures, and criteria at the plant meet or exceed all standards and customer specifications. This position works with customers, corporate personnel and plant personnel to develop quality control and quality improvement programs, procedures, and practices. The incumbent works with other plant management to assure that quality of product is a priority. Audit all production processes, equipment, and employee performances to assure that all prescribed quality procedures are adhered to without compromise. Contact customers regarding quality problems. Complaints are investigated; cause of non-conforming quality is determined and a corrective action to resolve problems is initiated, so that customer needs and concerns are satisfied. Select, develops, trains, motivates, and appraises subordinate personnel to provide for a competent work force. Manage supplier quality to include glass and components. Lead PNCA process in the NAVA facilities Manage the Ambassador program serving customer plants. Ensure compliance to TS16949 requirements. Contacts TS16949 registrar to report (within 5 working days) when the plant is put on one of the containment statuses listed in the TS 16949 manual. May be required to assist in training. This position is responsible for following the Quality, Environmental, and Safety policies. Other managerial duties as assigned.Qualifications Required: Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field and +3 years related experience in a manufacturing facility. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities. Must be willing to travel approximately 10-20%Qualifications Desired: Previous experience in quality assurance and the glass industry, Bilingual in English and Japanese, OpEx experience Green Belt/Black Belt Certification, Certified Lead Auditor.TalentSource Staffing is a growing female owned solutions leader, with an impressive client list that includes many high profile employers seeking top talent!
