Position
Summary:
As a growing company, we are always looking for new team members to help us continue in our success. Currently, we are seeking a Receiving Supervisor.
Narrative Statement of Job:

Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of hourly employees, ensuring that both customer service and internal measurements are held to the highest standards.
1. Customer Service and Quality - Provide all customers served by the department with quality of service consistent with corporate goals.
1. Expenses and Productivity - Monitor all facets of the department activity to ensure that expense ratios for the department are within agreed upon levels consistent with departmental budgets and goals.
2. Human Resources - Provide for an atmosphere in the department that promotes high levels of achievement and low turnover. Maintain a non-union environment.
3. Asset Management - Monitor proper usage of both manpower and equipment. Promote and enforce safety rules for individuals and equipment. Being in compliance with all OSHA requirements for people and machinery.
Direct Reports:

Receiving - Material Handlers
Receiving - Technician Specialist
Receiving - Utilities

Customer Service
Responsible for receiving and delivery of all incoming product accurately and on time.
1. Respond to all customer and employee requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
2. Foster an atmosphere of good customer service throughout the department. Work closely with stocking departments.
3. Limit departmental claims and damages to an acceptable level.
4. Insure that individual performance is monitored in order that each employee effectively and efficiently meets customer demands.
Expenses and Productivity
Follow operating expense budget for the department.
1. Responsible for labor expense rate.
2. Advocate creativity and movement within the department, so that the progression of methods and procedures can be measured.
3. Manage incoming deliveries to insure timely receipt and unloading of product.
4. Ensure accuracy of deliveries while documenting discrepancies.
Human Resource Management
1. Ensure staffing levels are maintained in order to provide superior customer service.
2. Promote a labor relation's climate that provides for employee's involvement and teamwork with a dedication to customer service.
3. Accountable for maintaining turnover and retention levels at an acceptable level.
4. Ability to coach, develop and facilitate individual team members as it relates to overall team performance.
5. Uphold, support and maintain company safety standards at all time.
Asset Management
Maintain the required level of housekeeping in the department.
1. Ensure that all equipment in the department is maintained in good working order, through proper use and preventative maintenance.
2. Accomplish productivity goals while maintaining efficient and effective labor levels.
Other Duties
Allocate time efficiently. Handle multiple tasks and complete priorities.
1. Assist in developing plans for cost reduction, process improvement, schedule and labor hours reduction.
2. Establish good working relationships with other departments to ensure smooth transition of inbound and out-bound functions.
Skills and Qualifications
Some college preferred.
1. Experience as a supervisor with increasing levels of responsibilities.
2. Articulate, with good presentation and written communication skills.
3. Acceptable PC skills concentrating in Microsoft Word and Excel.
4. Strong understanding of supply chain or MRP and pull system desired.
Personal Qualifications
Informal and approachable person who can communicate at all levels.
1. Must be able to handle adversity, react quickly, and maintain a positive attitude.
2. Willing to work long hours and be on call as needed.
3. Motivated to excel and instill that same quality in subordinates.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
