Summary:
Supervise a team of Standard Automation Management Information System (STAMIS) technicians, coordinates all technical and functional support of ULLS-A, PBUSE, SAMS, SAAS-Mod, and ILAP systems and any new STAMIS developed and fielded by the Department of the Army for logistics support. Manage Sustainment Automation Support Office (SASMO) functions and support services requirements with the installation internal and external agencies. Responsible for ensuring all STAMIS support requirements are achieved to meet unit needs. Oversight of all installation STAMIS systems and provide technical expertise, specialized troubleshooting, problem solving, and other assistance deemed necessary.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the software developer and proponent agency to maintain proficiency in understanding changes to the installation, operation, and use of the STAMIS.
Assist the SASMO Operations Manager with the maintenance of the SASMO Smart Book
Resolve customer complaints and answer customers' questions regarding policies and procedures.
Supervise and assign tickets to SASMO Technicians and track corrective actions and problem resolution.
Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems.
Oversee employee and customer training.
Evaluate employees' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate personnel action.
Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct deficiencies.
Direct team activities, establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources.
Report project plans, progress, and results.
Direct and support the compilation and analysis of technical source data necessary for product development.
Set priority of work for SASMO Team member.
Troubleshoot STAMIS and non-STAMIS and supported communication devices connectivity issues relates.
Preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Knowledge of the governing STAMIS systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
Knowledge for STAMIS protocols.
Technical and functional knowledge all supported STAMIS processes and operations.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Ability to troubleshooting and repair all technical and functional problems involving supported STAMIS.
Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
Must be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (primarily Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Windows graphical user interface) and Data/web based systems required for task area performing work.
Must have the appropriate qualifications, certification, and/or license under the requirements for the task area being performed under this contract prior to commencement of work.
Must able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Additional Position Information:
HS Diploma required, Advanced Technical Degree preferred
Secret Clearance
Requires seven (7) years SASMO experience with knowledge of Army STAMIS
Requires an privileged user account (IAT I) IAW DoD Directive 8570
Ability to perform all associated SASMO task
Requires comprehensive knowledge PC/networking environment including installation, testing, repair, and troubleshooting PCs, PCs linked to networks, printers, and other computer peripherals.
Possess excellent written and communication skills. The Lead SASMO must be IAT I certified.
