Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Execute all duties necessary to operate and maintain the Press Brake, Big Roll Machine, Drill Press, Threader,
Beveler, Saw, and other related metal fabrication machines, with a minimum of direct supervision which
include:
1. Layout or details layout on work stock from blueprints or sketch.
2. Set up and operate machine to bend or roll steel to blueprint or other document specifications.
3. Position workpiece manually or with hoist into position for processing.
4. Inspect pieces for conformance with specifications.
5. Adjust and monitor machine for proper operation.
6. Adjust and control operation of saw according to type of material cut.
7. Replace blades, do daily checks & maintenance as required.
8. Cut material ordered on dispatch list, material issue note, or verbal orders.
9. Cut parts to print, including all cutbacks, angle & cope as shown on drawings.
10. Request material from by part number & description on material requisition form.
11. May require unloading steel truck and putting steel in racks with overhead hoist.
12. Complete material issue notes from work order packet.
13. Through proper planning and accurate measurements, limit scrap to a minimum.
14. Complete material cycle counts for all drop off steel the first work day of each month.
15. Inform Supervisor of shortages or anticipated shortages of stock materials.
16. Clean saw & work area at the end of each shift.
17. Operate forklift and/or hoist in transporting materials.
18. Would be required to periodically bring material into the Plant from the yard.
19. Job requires using a computer mouse to access and open/close computer documents.
All duties are performed in compliance with Company policies relating to safety and housekeeping
Education and Experience
1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Metal fabrication machine operation experience preferred.
3. Heavy equipment manufacturing experience preferred.
4. Computer experience desired, particularly the ability to use a mouse, and locate and open/close files.

instructions.
6. Ability to handle the stress that accompanies production standards and deadlines.
7. Ability to accept constructive criticism and make subsequent adjustments, and willingness to rework
incorrect tasks completed by oneself or others.
