About the Position:
This position will be located at the US Army Medical Command, Department of Behavioral Health, School Based Behavioral Health in Tripler Army Medical Center.
Preferred candidates will have completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral graduate program and an APA accredited predoctoral internship.

As a Clinical Psychologist at Tripler Army Medical Center's School Based Behavioral Health Program, you will:
Provide comprehensive clinical evaluations, therapy and aftercare planning to individual Military children, adolescents and their families, primarily in a School-based Behavioral Health setting.
Develop and operate the therapy component of the treatment program in conjunction with the child psychiatrists, Department Of Education behavioral health staff and other providers.
Select, administer, and interpret objective and projective psychological tests for the purpose of assessing patient's cognitive, psycho-educational, occupational, and neuropsychological functioning.
Develop behavioral health programs designed to promote resilience and prevent and/or mitigate the deleterious impact of Military service on Military children, adolescents and their families.
Provide training to child psychiatry fellows, general psychiatry residents and interns, social work students, and other trainees specifically related to the School Behavioral Health treatment program.

Degree: Successful completion of a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
Experience required: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: providing clinical evaluations in a School Based Behavioral Health setting, coordinating with school staff and various agencies to establish a treatment plan for school aged patients, administering psychological tests to pediatric patients and counseling pediatric patients and/or families in a School Based Behavioral Health program.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federalservice (GS-12).
