General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Principal Business Management Specialist to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to further advance some of our nation?s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to identify and help acquire new business ventures for General Dynamics Mission Systems and its customers. Key Responsibilities
Senior Principal Business Management Specialists participates in support activities that impact the proposal, design and manufacture of systems, products or programs. They also gather, collect, record, and verify data and information. Senior Principal Business Management Specialists use software to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations. Similarly they may coordinate procedures and schedules. This position may be responsible for detailed financial and administrative activities such as budgeting, reporting, estimating, analysis for programs, organizations or proposals.
Takes leadership of technical/administrative projects and tasks. Plans, schedules, documents, reports, tracks progress of and provides status accounting and technical management of projects to ensure work scope, schedules and budgets are defined and maintained. May manages small programs/proposals. Participates in support activities that impact the proposal, design and manufacture of systems, products or programs. Analyzes and coordinates technical data or the establishment of procedures and schedules. May be subject-matter expert on specific aspects of the program.

Candidates should demonstrate sophisticated research and analysis skills, as well as an ability to further evolve the General Dynamics Mission Systems business. Senior Prinicpal Business Management Specialists must have a bachelor?s degree in a related specialty or the equivalent, and a minimum of ten years of related experience. Applicants with a master?s degree and a minimum of eight related work experience also qualify.
Department of Defense security clearance is at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Possesses highly specialized skills or is recognized as SME in this role; Displays mastery of a specialized field or discipline; Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing complex technical concepts.
