Job Description :
This technical leadership position is primarily responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing employer's enterprise data network infrastructure to ensure that performance and reliability meets and exceeds the requirements of the business. The successful candidate for this position will be a motivated self-starter and leader that interacts well with IT team members and professionally with internal and external customers.

Skills/Experience :

Education
Bachelor of Science degree (EE, CS, etc.)
o (if a candidate does not have a Bachelor's degree they must have certifications)
Desired Vendor Certifications:
o Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
o Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
Technology Leadership
10-15 years of managing large multinational WAN solutions (minimum 1000
server environment- physical & virtual)
o Cisco Switches & Routers in a large data center environments
o MPLS, Frame-Relay, and VPN WAN topologies
o Experience with routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP
o VLAN, HSRP, Spanning-Tree configurations
o Data network design focusing on redundancy and resiliency
o Ciscoworks and NetFlow
o Fault isolation and remediation
o Capacity management, planning, and reporting
Thorough knowledge of WAN, LAN and wireless network technology
A complete understanding of TCP/IP in addition to well-known ports and protocols
Network packet capture and interpretation experience
Experience developing and maintaining comprehensive network documentation
Hands-on experience with Wintel, UNIX and/or Linux operating systems
Experience with Firewalls (Desired: Check Point Firewalls), IPS / IDS and Load Balancers
Communications, Projects, Policies & Procedures
Plans, directs and co-ordinates the efforts of vendors and internal stakeholders in the development, deployment and management of technical solutions and other projects supporting the division and region
Identifies opportunities where the company can improve service levels and / or reduce operating expenses
Supports executive reporting through the creation of presentations, proposals and other documents
Prepares and presents service level updates and status reports on Projects, Network Statistics, Budgets, etc.
Experienced and effective ability to propose, refine and implement project standards, policies and procedures
Understands and promotes key IT processes (ex. Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Service Level Management, Capacity Management, etc.)
Proficiency with MS Office products (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio & Project)
Vendor & Customer Management
Manages the selection, purchase and installation of network devices and related systems
Negotiates and manages vendor agreements, contracts and major expenditures
Meets with vendors to discuss and address infrastructure problems, projects and administrative issues
Manages service levels through the creation and implementation of standards, policies and procedures
