General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for a COTS Integrator to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop and advance the cutting-edge technology that supports our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with the government to develop solutions that allow them to carry out submarine missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to deliver end-to-end solutions in mission systems integration, development, and operations support to fleets and the organization. Key Responsibilities
The COTS Integrator will analyze, design, develop and test GDMS systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort. Additional responsibilities include armoring systems for Navy certification and accreditation; working with COTS vendors; configuring lab environments and specifications; and creating build of materials. This individual is also responsible for requirements definitions, software critical item tests, etc, in addition to configuring and troubleshooting system hardware and software.
Additional Requirements
Software experience preferred - C/C++
Linux Administration
Windows Administration
Good organizational and communication skills
Experience with virtualization techniques
Ability to troubleshoot and repair software problems
Experience cabling equipment racks to support system hardware components

These skills are a PLUS
Experience implementing DIACAP requirements on Windows Operating Systems
Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of various engineering systems and the ability to further advance General Dynamics Mission Systems technology.
The Systems Engineer position requires a bachelors degree in a specialized area, field or the equivalent and at least zero to two years of related work experience. Applicants with a masters degree are also eligible.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
