Percentage pay gives drivers the opportunity for additional pay increases as rates rise. Company Drivers get paid up to 28% of the line haul revenue. This aligns the driver's interests with the company's interest. When the company does well, the driver does well. Drivers are paid a percentage of what the shipper pays PGT to haul their product. All independent contractors are paid in this format. If they invest the money in their equipment and are willing to work consistently, it must be worthwhile. PGT has been paying their drivers by percentage since inception, and it is the preferred method of pay by drivers.
