Welding Coordinator

Responsible for coordination of all production tasks in the welding area and to manufacture products to customer drawing, specification, or other forms of instruction.
Follow LPP Safety Policies and procedures as outlined in Safety Manual.
Maintain pinwheels and bin levels.
Maintain weld cell status lighting.
Maintain required welding consumables.
Make set ups for welders for desired welding processes.
Perform hydro testing in piping bay when spools become available.
Successful completion of 2F weld test and written weld test.
Six months applicable welding experience.
Perform Task assignments with general supervision.
Knowledge of wire and filler materials, applications for various steel alloys, aluminum and some exotic materials or ability to learn.
Working knowledge of fixtures and weld set up in weld cells or ability to learn.
Knowledge of welding equipment.
Knowledge of proper operation of cranes and rigging equipment.
Knowledge of hydro testing.
Ability and willingness to learn Lean Manufacturing and participation in a Kaizen Event.
Must perform in a professional manner in a team environment to achieve completion of a project in a timely and efficient manner while upholding the safety, production and quality standards.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
