Description
Perform installation work for energy retrofits, including but not limited to air sealing, insulation, radiant barrier, duct repair, HVAC/R and related equipment, hot water heaters, windows, doors and other energy related products. Identify and solve problems that might impede the completion of work within budgeted time. Provide feedback/suggestions to supervisors, salespeople, and others on ways to improve quality and reduce costs. Complete approved repairs/improvements in a timely manner. Collect any payments as needed.

Reports to Installation or Production Supervisor
Possibly supervise Assistant Installation Technician
Hours & Working Conditions
Average 40 hours per week (typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays)
Overtime/weekend work as required
May work outside, in crawlspaces, and attics
Some lifting and physical exertion required
Brazing, soldering, and welding may be required
Work with sheet metal and sharp objects
Some work may require personal safety equipment including respirators and protective garments
Duties and Responsibilities
Before noon, review the next day(s) scheduled work with supervisor(s) to verify equipment and material pick list, identify needed corrections, and to identify and request equipment
Before noon, identify and request any fabricated materials required for installations on the following day(s)
Pull/assist in the pulling of equipment and materials needed for installations
Follow defined installation procedures for all energy related retrofit work according toEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
