Matthews International Corporation is hiring a part-time Warehouse Worker and weekend Distribution Center Driver for its Hammond, LA location.
Summary
This position will require you to prepare and deliver caskets to funeral homes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1) Drive truck to deliver caskets
2) Load trucks for delivery
3) Prep caskets for delivery
4) Driver must complete daily log book
5) Unload trucks
6) Clean warehouse
7) Put caskets away in bins
8) Wear clean uniform daily
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises four employees in the Warehouse. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirementsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
