Job description
As a driver for Chicago Moving Express, you must have experience in driving a straight or semi-truck to transport and deliver household and commercial goods in loose or packaged form. Deliveries will be made in the local Chicago-land Area area with seldom, overnight work.
Tasks include:
Responsibility for transporting household goods/commercial equipment and furniture from origin to destination.
Actively participate in moving materials, equipment, furniture, household goods and managing packing and crating of valuables as well as hard-to-move items.
Acting as a liaison with customer service and sales representatives, dispatch and warehouse staff to insure customer satisfaction.
Inspecting truck for defects before and after trips, submitting truck condition reports
Maintaining driver logs and daily vehicle inspection reports according to FMCSA regulations.
Adhering to all safety, OSHA and DOT regulations in accordance with the Chicago Moving Express safety program.
Complying with drug-free workplace initiatives.
Maintaining a tool kit for installation, assembly and breakdown of furniture or other item
s for transport.
Qualifications:
Active CDL Class A, Class B or Regular is required.

years of driving experience for a commercial business.
Prior household goods moving experience recommended.
Must pass a background check, drug test and DOT physical.
Capable of lifting 75lbs on a regular basis with above average stamina and fitness skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
