This position is part of Cellulose Fibers segment and reports to the VP of the Liquid Paper Board (LPB) business. The LPB business is comprised of 1 manufacturing site in Longview, WA producing over 300,000 tons of coated and uncoated Liquid Paper Board for customers throughout the world.
This position is a key part of the LPB technical team that leads the effort to build and execute the strategy of mix migration and margin enhancement. The successful applicant will work closely with the LPB business, sales, customers, and mill manufacturing teams to execute the team's goals. The postion is based in the Longview, Washington Liquid packaging Board manufacturing faciltiy
Key Functions:
Lead the New Product Development process, including
Development of margin lift goals & performance
Opportunity Identification - prioritize,
Manage interface with customer, technical/R&D, and manufacturing
Trial coordination
Customer/Technical interface: specification management, lead/support/advise on quality problems, address customer inquiries, environmental reporting, status updates on fiber certification & labeling
Coordinate business/mill technical improvements: capital project support, priority setting, continuous improvement
Product Safety manager: FDA & JHSOPA compliance, customer inquiries on regulatory requirements, Safety Data Sheet owner, monitoring of emerging regulations in applicable markets.
Business Development: identification of new markets, geographies, and process changes to enhance margin.
Intellectual Property Manager: coordinate with legal counsel on Non-Disclosure agreements, invention notices & patent activity.

Requirements:
Candidate of choice will need to have strong, leadership capabilities and proven interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse cross section of technical & business stakeholders.
He or she will need to have high energy, be result-oriented and be well organized with strong communications, negotiation and analytical skills.
A positive can-do attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn about a large complex system is also required.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Liquid Paper Board/Cellulose Fibers industry, mills, markets, customers and products is preferred with working knowledge of mill operations and financial systems.
BA or BS degree in engineering or paper technology or business related area is required with MSc preferred.
This role requires some travel.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
