Technical Service Representative - Concrete / Masonary / Construction

Overview:
This position requires an individual with technical and customer service experience in the construction industry.
Essential Job Functions &
Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical service to architects, contractors, and distributors to advise on proper material selection for specific applications.
2. Review of architectural blueprints, details, and specifications to advise on proper material selection for specific applications.
3. Draft specifications and details for architects, engineers, contractors, and distributors.
4. Preparation of technical documents / literature for architects, engineers, contractors and distributors.
5. Conduct seminars for architects, distributors, contractors and other construction professionals.
6. Investigate/settle customer service & product complaints diplomatically & professionally within authorized limits.
7. Handle input/requests from sales/field personnel and update job file system.
8. Identify and forward leads to sales department.
9. Maintain professional conduct.
Job Specifications/Skills:
1. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in construction industry.
2. 2 years in technical support of a building material or product preferred.
3. Fluency in 2nd language preferred.
4. Physical strength to lift and carry minimum of 50 pounds frequently.
5. Knowledge of architecture and construction practices and materials.
6. Knowledge of LATICRETE products and applications preferred.
7. Knowledge of competitive materials preferred.
8. Technical communication and presentation abilities (some of which is on short notice).
9. Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook. Intermediate knowledge of and functional proficiency in ERP and CRM systems; Oracle EnterpriseOne and SalesForce1 CRM system preferred.
10. Team Cooperation - maintain positive, cooperative attitude with all employees of LATICRETE and all customers.
11. High School Diploma; Degree preferred.
12. 25%, with some International travel required

1. Performs other directly related appropriate duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.
