Shipping Team Trainer

Summary:
Responsible for training Team Members (TMs) and perform all of the tasks listed below as needed. Includes retraining TMs.
DUTIES:
General duties (perform tasks and train other TMs)
Train Order Selectors (Shipping and Receiving TMs).
Work extensively in all areas of the warehouse for extended periods of time, including the refrigerated and freezer areas
Operate powered pallet jacks and forklifts in accordance with OSHA regulations and Whole Foods Market policy
Change batteries on powered equipment
Operate dock plates, dock locks, and warehouse loading bay doors
Use computerized warehouse management system via radio frequency terminals
Assist in cleaning
Learn receiving, selecting and forklift operation
Audit orders and processes
Frequently vary tasks based on the direction of the Assistant Team Leaders and/or Team Leaders
Perform all duties in accordance with Good Organic Standards and Whole Foods Market policy
Regularly lift cases up to 50 lbs, occasionally lift cases in excess of 70 lbs (infrequently lifting cases up to 100 lbs)
Selection (perform tasks and train other TM?s)
Use voice-based order system to pull and palletize store orders
Work in an accurate and efficient way
Lift many heavy boxes in the course of a day
Build pallets in a way that will not damage product
Respect all Good Organics rules when stacking product
Load trucks and record what is being loaded in our warehouse management system
Assist in cleaning
Forklift
Safely operate forklift
Use RF-based terminals to locate, drop and putaway product properly so that it is properly rotated
Load and unload trucks
Identify any pallets that need to be restacked, lower them and restack them
REQUIREMENTS:
Able to fluently read, write, speak and understand the English language
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills ? meticulous about paperwork and follow-through
Strong communication skills. Ability to say the same thing different ways to different people so that the training is effective.
Willingness to assume additional responsibilities
Willing and able to lift heavy boxes
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
Interested in working in an environment that stresses accountability
Willing to share ideas, participate and work with a diverse group
Self motivated, positive attitude
xEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
