Job Description
Ongoing growth has led to an immediate opportunity for a seasoned Supply Chain Manager to become an integral part of this Tier I Automotive Supplier in Central Alabama. Candidates should have a strong background in purchasing and logistics including a working knowledge of SAP and experience working in conjunction with OEM's such as BMW and Mercedes.
The Supply Chain Manager develops process improvements while reducing transportation costs. Manages inventory levels. Supervises and guides direct reports. Will have responsibility for:
Overseeing the operations and processes relating to inbound/outbound shipments
Manage annual cost reductions through inventory management
Report regularly on inventory levels and costs associated
Manage Projects as assigned with internal and external custome
Must be able to effectively communicate to coworkers and visitors his/her responsibilities and all supply chain procedures applicable to the department. Must be able to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees and suppliers. MUST have a working knowledge of SAP.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
