SPECIAL NOTIFICATION: This position is exempt from classified state service and the rules of the Division of Human Resources and the Idaho Personnel Commission.
The Idaho Council on Developmental Disabilities is seeking a part-time temporary employee to coordinate a 2015-2016 class of Idaho Partners in Policymaking Program, a leadership development program designed for adults with developmental disabilities and parents of children with developmental disabilities. This position will average 19.5 hours per week and _does not_ include benefits.
The position is in Boise and requires some evening and weekend work. Partners' education sessions take place one weekend a month over an eight month period (August 2015 - May 2016).
The ideal candidate has a personal philosophy that people with disabilities are capable of achieving success in what they choose to do given the appropriate support. The candidate uses People First Language and encourages others to do so.

Responsibilities:
Secure dates for all eight sessions with a local hotel
Secure hotel sleeping rooms for participants and a hotel conference room to conduct training
Create and market application materials
Secure state and national speakers
Recruit participants throughout southern Idaho
Facilitate and attend each of the eight sessions
Interact as necessary with each participant and support staff
Prepare information for program participants and presenters for each session
Make arrangements for travel, ground transportation, lodging, meeting rooms, meals, meeting materials, support staff, audio-visual equipment, and payment/reimbursements of speakers and participants
Provide follow up regarding inquiries about the program
Minimum
Qualifications:

Experience: planning and implementing projects; developing, promoting and gaining project support; interpreting and explaining specialized or complex material into information usable by the public

Ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people with disabilities, parents, policy makers and professionals

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
