This is administrative and operational work assisting in the monitoring of landside activities at a large international airport. Employees in this classification monitor landside operations, safety, security, ground transportation, and other activities related to the welfare of passengers, airlines, tenants and the general public. This is shift work and employees are required to work weekends and holidays. Work is performed under the supervision of an administrative officer. Employees are often required to work outdoors under varying weather conditions and are exposed to high levels of aircraft noise.
Qualifications:
Education: Possession of an Associate's Degree from an accredited college with major course work in aviation management, aviation business administration, or airport management.
Experience: Two years of general airport operations experience.
OR
Education: Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
Note: Applicants may substitute a high school education and general airport operations experience for the required college education at the rate of one year of work experience for thirty (30) credit hours.
Licenses & Certifications:
Employees in this classification are assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
