Navigator, Breast Care Center

As Navigator for the Breast Care Center, you will champion the development, implementation, and management of a coordinated approach to breast health that effectively manages clinical, economic and quality outcomes for the breast cancer population. You will be expected to monitor the quality of care delivered to all breast care patients. In doing so, you will collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers and all members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that patients and their families receive services that reflect our clients commitment to caring for the body, mind, and spirit.
To qualify, you should hold a nursing degree diploma; an Associates degree is acceptable, however, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is preferred. Our client seeks a minimum of four years nursing experience with demonstrated competent clinical judgment and leadership ability. Experience in Oncology, womens health or case management is highly preferred. An affinity for problem solving, decision-making, and establishing effective rapport with personnel, patients families, physicians and colleagues is crucial for success in this role. Most importantly, you must possess sensitivity and compassion, as you will be the sole contact for patients whose breast exam results indicate issues, and function as their close advisor from the onset, all the way through the process.
