Job Family & Level: Administrative 3
Job Details: Under the general supervision of the Manager and the technical guidance of a Team Leader performs a variety of clerical duties and procedures in response to inquiries from patients, third parties, hospital departments and others regarding the status of patients accounts. Shares a common understanding of team concepts and objectives and works to achieve team and department goals. Requires a working knowledge of third party payor and governmental program requirements and contracts. Two to three years prior experience in Patient Accounting and/or healthcare billing to be proficient. Accurate typing and a working familiarity with CRT and PC applications. High school diploma or equivalent required. Post high school education is preferred.
