The Douglas County Sentinel, an award-winning paper located in Douglasville 20 miles west of Atlanta, has an immediate opening for a full-time sports editor.
The position's duties include, but are not limited to, covering high school and community sports and taking all photographs for the sports section. The position also requires updating the paper's website, maintaining a presence on social media and managing a staff of stringers to maximize our coverage of local sports.
The ideal candidate will also be proficient in AP style and have a track record of writing compelling game stories, features and enterprise stories. Pagination skills are not a requirement of the job as all layout is done at a central design hub.
