The selected candidate will provide support for the AN/SPN-46(V) at the Landing Systems Test Facility on Patuxent River Naval Air Station with responsibilities including material testing, Engineering Change Proposal development, flight testing support and daily maintenance.
Will also perform fleet support duties to include troubleshooting, maintenance, equipment installation, cable fabrication, fiber-optic cable installation, and other fleet support related requirements of U.S Navy Air Traffic Control approach and landing systems onboard US Navy ships. The position could require extensive travel (up to 50%25) worldwide, with the potential for temporary assignments in Norfolk VA, San Diego CA, and outside the United States. The position could require getting underway on US Navy vessels for periods of several weeks at a time.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Required Skills and Education
High school diploma and at least four years related experience in electronics maintenance and repair
Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
Ability to obtain a passport
Ability to lift bulky material, not to exceed 50 lbs
Ability to work onboard US Navy Ships, to include extensive walking up and down multiple flights of stairs
Willingness to travel (up to 50%25) worldwide, with the potential for temporary assignments in Norfolk VA, San Diego CA, and outside CONUS
Military electronics training (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force or Coast Guard) in AN/SPN-, ASR-, SPS-, TPN-, TPS- or FPN- equipment
Preferred Skills and Education
Associate degree in Engineering or Electronics discipline
Military Radar Systems maintenance and repair experience
Air Traffic Control Systems maintenance and repair experience
Landing Systems experience
