POSITION
Summary:
This position will report to the Program Specialist, EMR Initiatives, with additional collaboration with the PHO Project Manager. This role is created to fill a need within the PHO to support the practices on an EMR, and the role may transform over time to suit the needs of the growing department. The EHR Account Manager will play a vital role in working with our eClinicalWorks (ECW) offices, as well as some other EMR vendor offices, on account management, practice visits, EMR trainings and assisting with meaningful use achievement as well as other related government programs. This role is going to be extremely focused on Meaningful Use requirements for both Stage 1 and Stage 2 Programs and will include Medicare and Medicaid MU.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
1. At least 2-3 years of experience with physician practice operations and workflow, electronic medical records or health information technology required.
2. Bachelor s degree preferred; comparable relevant experience may be given consideration.
3. Experience with ambulatory EHRs, especially with eClinicalWorks (ECW) is ideal; EHR clinical documentation and quality reporting experience and understanding is preferred.
4. Customer service focused and strong interpersonal skills; must have ability to work with people and develop relationships with others at all skill levels and different backgrounds, including out at the practices as well as with other hospital departments.
5. Must have interest in EMRs, using it to improve quality, safety and efficiency as well as eagerness to continually learn, including on other government programs such as PCMH, PQRS, ACO, MSSP, ICD-10 and Bridges to Excellence.
6. Must have strong oral and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills.
7. Must have a comfort level with technology, including for Access database and Excel tracking grid data entry.
8. Must have working knowledge of Meaningful Use Stage 1 and Stage 2 requirements.
9. Meaningful Use audit experience.
10. Meaningful Use documentation.
11. Meaningful Use registration attestation experience required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
