Depending upon the desired qualifications of the successful candidate, the hiring manager may elect to fill this position at a higher level within the job hierarchy.
This is the third level of the Compliance Analyst classification hierarchy. Employees at this level manage work in multiple areas of specialization, with minimal supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently, with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects or issues. They are fully competent in use of concepts and procedures . They identify problems, develop solutions and take actions to resolve.
NERC, FERC or CIP Compliance Program
Provides support and contributes to the on-going strategy of the NERC, FERC or CIP compliance program to meet regulatory and company requirements. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of NERC, FERC or CIP compliance controls, regulatory matters, and business applications. Provides support towards consultation, interpretation, administration, and implementation of contractual, regulatory, and reliability documents. Composes responses to legal and regulatory inquiries. Knowledgeable and proficient in use of tools and procedures for the NERC, FERC or CIP program. Serves as an interface between team members, business units, support groups, corporate areas, contractors, and vendors to ensure appropriate communication and problem resolution.
Project Management
Plans and performs large complex individual assignments, or leads small projects Assists project manager with developing project work breakdown structures and estimates for completion Identifies and resolves complex project issues Serves as a team leader and provides direction to project team Performs technical project work as needed to complete project deliverables
Process and Controls Awareness
In-depth knowledge of NERC policy, standards, processes and controls. Executes, defines and recommends direction for internal functional processes and procedures. In-depth knowledge of NERC processes and resources Able to measure and identify areas for improvement Provides input on process improvements to NERC compliance program.
Customer Relationship Management
Provides good customer support to deliver compliance results to internal and external parties
Consults with and informs customers regarding regulatory and/or compliance matters.
Communicates problems and resolutions to management and/or customers
Coordinates necessary meeting forums and subject matter to communicate compliance requirements
Proactively engages in training and development programs to improve and maintain job performance and promote professional growth and development.
Motivates program and project participants to work as a cohesive team within their work unit, department, and company to meet the needs and expectations of corporate compliance program and processes.
In-depth knowledge of NERC, FERC or CIP compliance and its impact on business operations and support functions
Qualifications: Basic/Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related field with 4 years utiliyy, cyber security, auditing, compliance, regulatory or related experience or in lieu of a degree 6 years of utility, cyber security, auditing, compliance, regulatory or related experience.
Experience with audit skills, controls, security and related industry regulatory issues

Masters degree in Engineering or a related field
Professional Engineering license or the ability to gain one
