This position is for the Embedded Behavioral Health (EBH) initiative. This work involves treating soldiers with a broad range of behavioral health concerns in specific combat divisions at various locations around the world.

Home to the 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks is nestled at the foot of the Waianae mountain range on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. The installation is located a few miles from the towns of Wahiawa and Mililani and is 17 miles from Honolulu. The 17,725-acre Schofield Barracks site was established in 1908 to provide a base for the Army's mobile defense of Pearl Harbor and the entire island. Federal employees are currently entitled to receive a non-taxable, 12.25% cost of living allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary.

As a Clinical Psychologist at the Embedded Behavioral Health Clinic at Schofield Barracks, you will:
Perform bio-psychological social evaluations utilizing principles and practices of psychological counseling.
Develop comprehensive treatment plans to restore and rehabilitate patients with personal, emotional, and/or mental illnesses.
Determine the appropriate psychological test that will be administered to the patient.
Monitor all psychological test administration for quality assurance.

Degree : Successful completion of a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
Experience required : Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as: for an adult treatment population, performing bio-psychosocial evaluations, determining mental health diagnoses, developing behavioral health treatment plans, providing psychological counseling, and interpreting psychological tests. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
