Job Description
The Sr. Manager of Web and Social Media is responsible for designing, managing and implementing collateral materials for electronic/digital, web, and web media and print, inclusive of layout, typesetting and illustration in support of advancing the Y's mission and cause and in accordance with brand guidelines.
Oversee and manage the Y's front-end website to ensure content is current, accurate, and brand-compliant.
Manage and grow all of the Y's social media calendar, content, activities and constituencies.
Manage mobile technology applications so that the information is current and relevant for members and donors.
Support graphic design, layout, and production of print materials as needed.
Qualifications
A minimum of an Associate's Degree in a related field or its equivalent years of experience
3-5 years of active experience managing social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, HootSuite.
Proficiency with Adobe CS6 (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) for print and web.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word (strong word processing ability) and Excel (spreadsheets).
Experience using Constant Contact (email platform).
Experience with CMS (content management system), familiarity with HTML and CSS.
Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Adwords, SEO, Remarketing initiatives.
Working experience with photography and video production (short videos for web and social media).
Strong proficiency in web design and layouts, graphics design, layout, and typography.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Essential Functions
Serves as an expert in Y-USA graphic standards, branding, voice and messaging in all print, web, digital, and mobile communications to advance the Y's mission and cause in our local community. Must be able to produce brand-compliant material that is impactful and relevant to its designated audience.
Develops concepts, creates sample layouts, and designs materials for print, digital, and web media including but not limited to advertisements, flyers, brochures, posters, program guides, forms, banners, and e-communications/e-newsletters.
Creates, organizes, updates, maintains and curates website content.
Manages and maintains the front-end websites by making daily, session-specific and program-specific updates to the website using applicable back-end software (text, photos, flash, video etc.) to ensure content is relevant, current and accurate.
Ability to navigate Daxko to allow for data to be updated/inputted to the website.
Manages participation, schedule, and content in various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, including web-based advertising, surveys, email campaigns, web postings etc.
Presents recommendations and social media strategy for ways to improve the use of social media tools and increase the online presence for internal stakeholders.
Responsible for creating and providing reports and analysis on the SAY's web and social media usage (including number of visits, most heavily read pages, open rates, CTRs, etc.).
Monitors the websites', mobile and social media Contact requests. Proactively logs and forwards the requests to the appropriate stakeholders for resolution in a timely manner.
Innovatively and creatively designs/produces high quality, error-free material in a timely and cost-effective manner by obtaining and providing pricing estimates, approving final creative, printing proofs, and select appropriate mediums that are best suited to achieve project goals and output of a quality final product.
Manages outside vendors as needed including Component Web Services (web), Level7 (web), Daxko (mobile), SmartPress (print) etc.
