What will you do on the job?
Our Fund Accountant provides A to Z accounting work for our investment funds. You will provide a holistic view of the Funds, supporting the firm and clients by preparing and updating fund budgets, finance contract maintenance, tax reimbursements, preparing financial statements, and working on a variety of projects and investor requests. This role will work closely with our business partners on the Institutional Team and outside vendors as well as a broad range of internal Accounting teams across the firm.
What will your success look like?
As a successful Fund Accountant you'll come in, take ownership, identify areas for improvement, provide solutions, and continue to build up these processes. You'll take on more and more responsibilities as your skills and abilities grow, becoming first a liaison for many departments, and progressing to a subject matter expert within a couple years.
What will it take for you to be successful?
You'll excel in the role if you are very organized - the funds aren't complex (yet) but there are a lot of moving parts. So, you will have to be someone who will be excited to roll up your sleeves; to dive into the details while juggling changing priorities, while remembering it's most important to never lose sight of the big picture. You'll be successful if you know not just the numbers involved, but the story behind why they are what they are and what their ramifications are.
