The Director of Visual Merchandising owns the full visual and in store marketing experience for our Merrell consumers. The DVM will ensure the integrity of the Merrell brand and consumer engagement with the brand through consistent merchandising vision and direction in the field. Using a thorough understanding and appreciation of Merrell's brand aesthetic and customer profile, the DVM leads the visual team in developing strategies to deliver well-merchandised, visually-engaging stories that meet the needs of the business. The DVM reports to the VP Merchandising.
Build and develop the most compelling, innovative ways to bring the Brand to life in our stores and create demand for our product that will drive KPIs.
Acts as a guardian of Merrells's retail voice, look and feel that best represents the Merrell brand and is differentiated in the category.
Develop strategies to ensure seasonal product, window and in-store applications are executed seamlessly throughout the store fleet and make adjustments for localization opportunities
Ensures styling in stores is consistent with styling direction and on strategy with both design and product intent.
Work closely with DTC Merchant team in influencing the DTC Retail Marketing Calendar and developing in store marketing collateral which articulates the seasonal stories
Manage the preplanning process for all floor sets along with cross function communications for the entire process. This includes the window development process for all outlet locations.
Work closely with Store Ops to develop visual training curriculum; ensure that store personnel have up-to-date knowledge of visual presentation standards, guidelines and window standards.
Conduct store visits to ensure that management and visual personnel are adhering to visual standards, maximizing floor space, and maintaining consistent product presentation
Be a business partner. Follow weekly selling reports as success measures for the in store consumer experience.
Stay ahead an alert to the competition
Sets and communicates high level of expectation for all levels of Field & Field Visual in regards to brand standards
Work closely with Store Ops and Store Development to ensure proper distribution of creative elements within the store environment, including signage, propping, painting and seasonal installations.
Lead the visual support for new stores and remodels and approve all new store floor plans
Partners with Merchants to influence the best possible assortment in stores.
Partners with Planning to ensure accurate presentation levels are adhered to.
Partners with Merrell marketing to ensure consistent brand message.
Provide guidance to wholesale and international partners as necessary.
Provide general oversight to the Multi Branded stores
Lead team of merchandisers and graphic design
10 years in a retail buying & planning environment
5-10 years managing international retail
Knowledge of Retail Math
Demonstrates firm understanding of the buying process
Analytical, able to transform qualitative and quantitative data into executable strategies
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word. Knowledge of SAP, JDA, BW and Buyer's Toolbox is a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
