Job Description
We are currently seeking a Business Banking Processor for our Brockton office.
This position will serve as a resource to Business Banking Lending Group. The Business Banking Processor is responsible for assisting Business Banking Underwriters and Portfolio Managers with general administrative duties, credit-related activities and special assignments; inputting loan applications to applicable origination related systems; preparing loan documents; working with approved attorneys when required to ensure accurate preparation of documentation and orchestration of loan closings; gathering credit information on current and potential borrowers; conducting internal and external account research; submitting applications to the SBA using E-Tran; processing loan payments or advances; assisting Business Banking Underwriters in ensuring loan requests are complete; and promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. The Business Banking Processor must communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist and enable organizational operations.
Responsibilities/Functions:
Input loan applications and financial information to Loan Origination System. Understand the relevance of key ratios, covenants and documentation exceptions.
Prepare documentation for new loans, renewals and modifications, such as term sheets or commitment letters, Loan Booking Sheet and other required documents.
Order and track documents required to complete loan file including flood searches, IRS 4506(T), appraisals and ESA s when applicable.
Review documentation against approval and term sheet or commitment letter.
Assist in coordination of information sent to Loan Operations for booking of loans.
Assist Portfolio Management with the renewal process of loans and lines.
Act as a liaison between Business Banking Lending, Business Officers, Retail staff, attorneys, customers and other Bank partners.
Assist internal and external customers on a daily basis with various types of banking questions.
Assist in ensuring lender compliance with federal laws applicable to Rockland Trust s lending function.
Organize the workflow of applications for the Business Banking Underwriters.
Required Skills
Position Requirements:
This position requires prior banking experience with full knowledge of various commercial loan documents and familiarity with tax returns and financial statements.
Must be a detailed-oriented individual with strong analytical and communication skills.
Exemplary time management to perform job assignments accurately within the timeframe required by management and to prioritize multiple assignments.
Comprehensive understanding and awareness of products, policy, compliance and business objectives and uses this knowledge in day-to-day assignments.
Solid understanding of commercial loan application requirements.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent
