## Job Description
To provide for the delivery of patient care through the utilization of the nursing process.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates prenatal breastfeeding class.
Conducts workshops/inservices for staff nurses to reinforce and update knowledge about the lactation process.
Reviews and evaluates FBU policies relating to the implementation of a successful breastfeeding program.
Rewrites and inservices staff on all new/revised policies and procedures relating to breastfeeding.
Acts as a resource person for doctors, other nurses, and health professionals.
Provides consults for those mothers and infants deemed appropriate (early discharge, failure to thrive, prolonged sore nipples, severe breast engorgement, etc.).
Delivers care with an awareness of patients age, growth, development, cultural, and spiritual differences.
Provides access to breastfeeding equipment and their devices when their use is appropriate.
Documents teaching and progress of the mother and baby on patient charts.
Participates in continuing education through seminars, workshops, conferences, and networks with others in the field.
## Qualifications
Educational and/or Professional
Qualifications:
1. Bachelors or Associates degree in Nursing.
Previous
Experience:
1. 2 years previous experience in Labor and Delivery or Nursery required.
2. Knowledgeable regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.:
1. Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana.
2. IBCLC certification encouraged.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
