Job Description: Investigate and develop data models that help in effective decision making for current and future landscapes. Establish baselines and help future decision making with objective data. Partner with each division in KLA-Tencor to develop, engage and promote global enterprise solution leading the way with innovations which meet the business needs. Review the effective operation of established controls and make data models that can drive recommendations for improvements as appropriate Promote awareness of IT Data policies, tools, methodologies and best practices. Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of incidents, and assist with arriving at root cause issues in a data driven fashion. Apply subject matter expertise and judgment on risk evaluation, risk assessments and risk mitigations for IT and Business Unit projects based on early warning systems developed from IT Portfolio tools. Responsible for delivering consultative services in support of our world-wide design engineering teams to meet our strategic objectives of bringing new products to market Better, Faster, and Cheaper. Work with Business Relationship Management (BRM) for Product Divisions, Global Operations and CTO's Office is a technical leadership group within KLA-Tencor IT department responsible for providing solutions to technical and strategic challenges in product development to improve product time to market and operational excellence and create a competitive advantage through Information Technology.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Information Systems or related technical field and 6 months of experience in job offered or in an information systems or semiconductor-related occupation.
Education or experience must include:
1. Designing, implementing and administering ELT (extraction, loading, transaction) system process within mid to large-sized organizations;
2. PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, SSIS for database design and development, including experience in Java and PHP to develop web application to query database;
3. Data visualization applications such as QlikView, Tableau, Cognos, or Spotfire;
4. Data mining tools such as R or Weka;
5. Accommodating changing requirements within a high-growth business environment, and advising decision makers on data driven management issues;
6. Project Management experience, including agile RDBMS development;
7. Semiconductor manufacturing and process control
