Responsible for managing, coordinating, and authorizing work in assigned elements or portions of these nuclear explosive safety and safety basis functional areas; provides oversight and advisory services in the context of the nuclear explosive safety and safety analysis programs in support of the programmatic mission of NPO.
Contributes technical and programmatic expertise for tactical and strategic planning on how to address contractor facility design and safety aspects of assigned functional and programmatic elements.
Responsible for all aspects of tactical and stragetic planning on how to address contractor facility design and safety.
Management interface includes interactions with DOE/NNSA line managers, the national laboratories, Defense Nuclear Facility Safety Board Staff, and the M&O; Contr Participates on Safety Basis Review Teams EDUCATION: This vacancy specifically states that certain educational requirements must be met (also known as a positive educational requirement), you must provide documentation supporting any education claims in your application. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. For General Engineer 0801-Basic Requirements: 1. (A) Degree in professional engineering with curriculum (1) in a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum; or (2) includes differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics; (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. -OR-(B)Combination of education and experience - college level education, training and/or technical experience that furnished a through knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying professional engineering, and a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering. The adequacy of such background must be demonstrated by one of the following: Professional registration - Current registration as a professional engineer by any State, District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico

Written Test - Evidence of having successfully passed the Engineer-in-Training examination, or the written test required for professional registration, which is administered by the Boards of Engineering Examiners in the various States, the District of Columbia, Guam and Puerto Rico. Specified academic courses - Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirement. The courses must be fully acceptable toward meeting the requirements of a professional engineering curriculum as described in paragraph A. In addition, possession of progressively responsible work experience that demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills & abilities required to perform work as an engineer. Related curriculum - Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in engineering technology or in an appropriate professional field, e.g., physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology may be accepted in lieu of a degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least 1 year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance. Ordinarily there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions. NOTE: If you are qualifying on the basis of a combination of education and experience, both must be sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position, and is comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of a full 4-year course of study with a major in the appropriate field. In addition to courses in the major and related fields, a typical college degree includes courses that involve writing, critical thinking, research, etc. These courses provide the skills and abilities sufficient to perform progressively more responsible work. Therefore, creditable experience should have demonstrated similarly appropriate skills or abilities needed to perform the work of an engineer.
Basic Requirements for 1301:
1.Degree: physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.
-OR-2. Combination of education and experience -- education equivalent to one of the majors shown in A above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
