Responsible for growing, developing, and managing the electrical engineering team.
Take a hands-on approach to planning, organizing, and conducting projects involving the evaluation, fabrication, modification, and design of electronic systems at the board level.
Participate in preparation of requirements documents, design verification, and validation as well as technical design reviews for hardware, software, and PCBs.
Responsibility for taking design from prototype to testable manufacturing qualified design.
Board-level and package-level assembly including (1) surface mount technology; (2) good mechanical skills; (3) excellent electronic/electrical skills as well as computer skills; (4) ability to read schematics and build prototype electrical/electronic circuits; and (5) good soldering techniques.
Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or PhD in Electrical Engineering (preferred) from a top tier university.
10
years of industry experience including at least 3 years of management experience.
Must have proven design and development experience in analog and digital circuits including experience with embedded processors and microcontrollers, mixed signal, data acquisition, low power, mobile or portable electronics.
Experience with schematic entry or CAD or equivalent and PCB layout.
Ability to work in a fast moving environment interfacing with multiple individuals and gathering requirements.
Ability to lead and manage a team of electrical engineers.
Ability to work and deliver under aggressive timelines.
Proven track record of shipping commercial products.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Pluses include:
Experience with Wireless communications, FPGA, ASIC, and signal processing.
Experience using a digital simulation environment
Familiarity with relevant standards and regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP, ISO, AAMI, UL, CSA)
Familiarity with embedded assembly and C programming languages

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
