This position provides technical decisions, approvals and guidance for Sales, Implementation, Maintenance, and Support of SCN networks.
Essential Job Functions
Engineering solutions, facilitate implementation of solutions and trails to include conducting field work and measurements
Manage projects and lead project personnel or junior RF engineers
Perform analysis and troubleshooting
Sales support includes customer engineering interface and relationship; business development support; new business designs and proposals.
Implementation support includes network design, RFA; system engineering (head end drawings and BOM); construction support; ATP; commissioning; optimization
Maintenance and support includes post optimization configuration changes; NOCC support; troubleshooting performance issues; new technology and trial support
Education/Certifications
BSEE required; MSEE preferred
Experience/Minimum Requirements
5
years RF engineering experience or equivalent
Experience in coverage reliability and area availability analysis
Indoor repeater & SCN (Small Cell Networks)
Design and optimization
Outdoor RF macro and DS network design and optimization for different network vendor architecture
Use of tools: Agilent Scanners - Invenx 3G; Dragon CW; transmitters (Acti8x, Wind catcher for CDMA, GSM and UMTS; TEMS investigation and pocket TEMS for SP and UMTS; spectrum analyzer, Anritsu site meter; Link Budget for SCN and Macro RF Networks
RF fundamentals of communication systems (IS-95, DMA, EVDO, GSM, UMTS and LTE networks
Familiar with antenna sweep tests
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
