Our Correspondent team works with Wells Fargo Funding and is part of Home Lending. Correspondent clients include large and small banks and mortgage companies, which provide borrower financing.
This Technical Writer will provide support for Correspondent Lending Operations and is responsible for routine writing, editing, and publishing of Correspondent Operations policies and procedures, Staff Announcements, Manager Newsletters, and other uniform communications. Most communications are time sensitive and complex. Ongoing communications are distributed weekly. Documented business processes include detailed technical steps & both document and screen images.
Responsibilities include the following:
Maintaining intranet site content in both document folders and image libraries
Coordinating the release of information with multiple individuals
Ensuring that material and content is written in an active voice and aligned with brand standards; documents and maintains writing Style Guide
Tracking multiple communication projects from inception through publication using an online workflow system in a fast-paced, evolving atmosphere
Consulting with Process Stewards (department Managers and Team Leads from all Correspondent Operations departments) on content detail to gain consensus and ensure seamless publication of material
Contributing to publication design including but not limited to font size, shading, and inline links
Editing content produced by other process writers before publication and mentoring managers on individual communications
Participating in group initiatives to improve communication strategies by leverage multiple communication options
Basic
Qualifications: 1
years technical documentation and publication experience.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to connect to a broad audience
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and co-workers
Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Working knowledge of MS Office
This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
