Leads and directs Shop Floor Bargaining Union Employees in order to meet Safety, Productivity, Quality, Costs and other specified goals as identified
Required Skills and Education
Required education: High School/GED plus eleven years of relevant work experience
Facilitates various meetings as required.
Ability to train on various aspects in manufacturing, ie; Safety, CNC controllers, inspection techniques, blue print, etc.
Ability to communicate accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintains a working knowledge of OSHA and environmental standards.
Ability to maintain standards/policies withing bargaining unit contract.
Maintains records regarding attendance, training, discipline or other as required.
Ability to analyze and intrepret prints and specifications and have a working knowledge of product quality characteristics.
Ability to efectively function or exceed budgeted requirements of cost, productivity, QA levles or others as identified.
Direct and manages departmental activities.
Preferred Skills and Education
Specific experience and training in management, business or manufacturing.
5 to 10 years shop floor supervision in a union environment.
5 to 10 years experience with CNC vertical & horizonltal machine tools
Good communication skills with the ability to communicate orally/written at various levels, depending upon audience.
