Inventory Manager
Assumes responsibility and is accountable for assisting dealership leadership teams with the management of used vehicle inventory. Manager is focused on leading activities to ensure Platform meets or exceeds its Used Inventory Objectives on a monthly basis and creates an environment for sustainable success.
Experience should have a focus on the following
Daily Inventory Analysis, Right Vehicle, Right Pricing, Right Location
Ability to purchase the right inventory for various markets at the right price. Experience with online and physical auctions
Ability to minimize wholesale losses by having a thorough understanding of the marketplace
Ability to evaluate dealership UVI and reconditioning processes to ensure front line conditions are met while minimizing excess reconditioning
ESSENTIAL DUTIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by Platform Manager.
Used Inventory Management
Works collaboratively with store management to plan inventory acquisitions in order to achieve gross objectives
Monitors progress of vehicle acquisitions from time of purchase, through reconditioning process, and dealership service department to minimize the time needed to attain Front Line ready status
Assists dealership personnel to ensure trades are properly valued at the time of acquisition. Monitors inventory and provides training as needed.
Ensure trades move through dealership service and detail departments to minimize time required to attain Front Line Ready status
Properly manages overall used inventory to minimize wholesale losses
Builds a cohesive relationship with dealership sales management and sales staff to ensure we stay abreast of current inventory needs, market trends, and training requirements.
Provides Platform Manager Recommendations for improving overall department profitability.
Ensures all Stanley Automotive Enterprises Policies and Codes of Conduct are followed.
Job Requirements
Automotive Used Inventory Purchasing/Management Experience a plus
Inventory Management Software Experience - Vauto experience a plus!
Team Oriented
Excellent Time Management and Communication Skills
Must Pass Drug Screen
Must be insurable
Location: Lima, OH
Experience: 1-2 years
Job Type: - ServiceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
