Summary: /
Under supervision performs maintenance, service and repairs in the areas of carpentry, painting, plastering and other types of repairs. Is knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in area(s) of specialty.
Essential Functions:
Perform basic maintenance and repairs relating to the site or equipment
Ensure work area is clean, safe and well maintained at all times
Report any damage or negligence to management immediately
Strive toward continuous improvement in productivity and quality, using Lean initiatives
Work with all levels of operation to ensure implementation of new strategies
Ability to interact with the customer/vender at times
Perform other duties as assigned

/Scope and Accountability:/
Completes tasks by following pre-established procedures. Applies basic technical and procedural knowledge; some formal training or experience is required to perform the job effectively. Follows detailed and defined rules/instructions and applies simple judgment to solve problems.
/ Qualification Requirements: /
/Knowledge/: HS Diploma, or equivalent
/ /
/Skills/:
Knowledge of carpentry, painting and plastering and small repairs
Ability to follow directions in reference to maintenance, service and repair of product
PC skills may be needed for some maintenance, service and repairs
Ability to handle multiple projects at one time
Safety orientated
/Experience/: This position requires 0-2 years of professional experience (relevant education may partially substitute for years of experience).
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
/Physical Demands/: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
/Work Environment/: The duties of this job are performed in both an office environment and a light industrial environment, thereby experiencing some minor to moderate level of noise due to office equipment and industrial equipment.
