BASIC PURPOSE:
This position maintains and repairs equipment that transfer petroleum products between tanker trucks and rail cars through means of mobile pumping station (transloader) or fixed transfer facility.
MAJOR
Responsibilities:
Responsible for safely transferring petroleum product between varieties of containers.
Must follow all applicable federal, state and local company regulatory rules and regulations that are in accordance with safe operation of product transfer.
Must be able knowledgeable with and be able to comply with the proper methods of loading and unloading for the various cargos to be transported.
Must be able to operate a vehicle with trailer at short distances, and occasionally for off-site errands.
Required to submit or maintain regular inspections and reports.
Report on time for shift and stay in contact with the home office.
complete daily logs and all necessary computer generated reports and other paperwork required by the company, and turn them in as instructed.
Understand and comply with the proper methods of loading and unloading for the various cargo tanks to be loaded / unloaded.
Responsible for testing and measuring petroleum product samples.
Must cooperate with all incident investigations and submit reports as required.
Must maintain utmost safety and security standards and expectations for all operations and locations.
Responsible for indoor and outdoor site cleanliness.
May be responsible for operating light duty machinery.
Must attend regular training as required.
Must be able to follow company guidelines in regards to acceptable conduct when dealing with customers and fellow employees.
Schedule and location adjustments may change with limited notice based on business needs.
Must be able to work mandatory overtime as required.

EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Education:
HS Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:
1-3 years petroleum experience preferred
1-3 years mechanical experience preferred
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Skills and Certifications:
Must possess a valid Class B driver's license, and a clean driving record.
Basic computer skills preferred.
Ability to manage numerous competing demands in an extremely high stress environment.
High organizational skills preferred.
Basic mathematical functions and basic English reading/writing required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver's license and clean MVR
Typical Physical Demands:
Ability to work 24/6/365 for any shifts
Must be able to work in personal protective equipment in extreme outdoor weather conditions.
Requires work in a limited space area.
Requires ladder/stair climbing to include work done at heights in excess of 15 feet.
Frequent lifting up to 75 pounds.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Ability to walk, bend, reach, push, stoop, squat, as well as grasp, lift, handle heavy equipment and climb on tank cars as necessary in regards to connecting and disconnecting processes of transloading, closing dome lids, handling hoses that can exceed 20' in length and weigh as much as 75 lbs.
May require passing of a medical evaluation for respirator use.
