Louisiana Tech University, a member of Conference USA is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Athletics Director for Academics. Full time, 12-month position with benefits. Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. Three years of experience working in a university athletic academic center preferred. The successful candidate will administer and monitor a comprehensive academic support program for student-athletes representing 16 NCAA Division 1 sport programs; oversee the day-to-day operations of the student-athlete resource center and its staff and coordinate academic advising of student-athletes. The candidate will serve as the liaison with campus academic offices and faculty; gather data and prepare academic reports on academic progress of all student-athletes. Excellent oral and written communication skills along with a working knowledge of NCAA regulations required. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
