This person will hire to assist pharmacists with the preparation of medications for dispensing to infant, children and adolescent patients and patient care areas. The Pharmacy Technician will be involved in executing related technical and supportive functions necessary to provide pharmacy services. She/he will prepare unit dose, ambulatory and sterile dosage forms for dispensing. It is the accountability of the Pharmacy Technician to interpret physician orders, prepare dispensing records, type labels and calculate doses and drug volumes for drug dosages. Additionally, the successful individual will fill and deliver medication carts/drawers to patient care areas. The Pharmacy Technician will prepare batch labels and repackage drugs from stock solutions. The ideal candidate will be accountable for working with department managers, nurse council and magnet representatives to identify and share safety best practices.
Requirements
1 year of retail pharmacy experience

High school graduate
